Nods to the fanbase like this one is part of the reason why I love Blazue xD
The year is nearing its end and the amount of daylight is getting less and less. For some it’s a depressing thing but for me it’s one of my favorite times of the year.
Every year around this time my hometown celebrates the festival of lights. Several places including some sights are lit by artistically arranged lights. Words won’t do it justice but the sight is really breathtaking!!!
I really am excited for this year’s festival since I haven’t been able to go last time. That is asuming I can find the time to go … I’m just so busy lately T_T
If I end up going I’ll be sure to post some pictures!! ^.^
I didn’t want to make a rant post this early in my blogging career but it has to be done.
Today has been one of those days, one thing goes wrong and then everything else, even unrelated things go to hell. I’m working at an office (at least for the time being) and my employer has been on a business trip for 3 days. He apperantly got back sometime last night. How do I know? The huge pile of files on my desk told me!! Today was supposed to be the day where I would take the afternoon off and only work till 12:00pm. So I’m working like a maniac to get these files processed and manage to finish them all till 11:00pm but guess what? The employer doesn’t get back till 11:50pm! So he signs all the papers, I start packing up my stuff … did I really think it would be that easy?
Silly me, of course it isn’t. For some reason my boss now comes up with another bunch of files that couldn’t wait till monday! Turns out I gotta work over-time. So much for my free afternoon T_T
But of course that’s not where it ends. When I finally leave the office at 2:00pm and walk to the train station it starts pouring! They didn’t mention that on the weather forecast so I didn’t bring an umbrella. By the time I get to the train station I’m completely soaked. And that was just the beginning, the train is late by 20 minutes and then halfway to my destination the train has to break because of technical issues! By now it’s 3:00pm. Instead of waiting 30 minutes for the next train I walk to the nearby bus station, I remembered that the next bus towards my destination would arrive at 3:15pm. My misfortune could have ended here … sadly I must have ordered the family size package. When I arrive at the bus stop around 3:13pm I can see the bus driving off in the distance …
I eventually got home around 5:00pm. Instead of enjoying my “free” afternoon I had to work over-time and deal with crappy public transportation. This day can only get better …

Here it is, my first post! Not really but I doubt anyone has seen my testpost~
Let me introduce myself by saying I’m not exactly fond of longwinded introductions. Sure, I could tell you things about myself but the way we see ourselves is always different from how other people see us. Instead you can find out about me by reading my posts! I’d like to share a few words as to what motivated me to post here, though. A very good friend of mine recently made a blog and I thought it looked like fun. We have a lot of shared interests so if you happen to enjoy the content on this blog (which I hope at least some of you do~) you should check hers, too!

But now let’s get to the real topic of this post!
Yesterday I came across the leaked new themes that are going to be featured in BlazBlue Continuum Shift:Extended. I’m a huge fan of the BlazBlue series (if you couldn’t already tell by the design of this blog ;P) and I especially like the Jin x Tsubaki subplot. When it comes to Tsubaki, we can see a glimpse of the real Jin. You know, the person he would have been if it wasn’t for Yukianesa corrupting his mind and turning him into a Ragna-obsessed lunatic. I feel like this really says a lot about their relation … but I disgress! Let’s save this for another post.
I was super excited to find out that Tsubaki vs Jin now finally got its own theme, like ‘Under Heaven Destruction’ for Ragna vs Jin or ‘Imperial Code’ for Noel vs Jin. You should check these songs if you haven’t heard them yet, they’re really good <3
But back to the Tsubaki vs Jin theme, give it a listen if you haven’t by now.
My first impression when I started the video was that it reminded me of both their respective themes ‘Lust SIN’ and ‘Condemnation Wings’ … that was until 0:32! Lyrics … english ones at that! What is this, the second coming of ‘Black Onslaught’?! The song itself sounds like a BlazBlue theme, alright but the english lyrics still throw me off. If someone showed me this song without telling me it was from BlazBlue the singing would have made me guessed it was from Nightwish or a similar band. Is that a bad thing? No, not at all, at least not for me. It’s just … I somehow can’t picture it as a fight theme. The singing isn’t bad by any means, especially not for a Japanese singer working with english lyrics. I think we all heard enough Engrish to appreciate this one … I guess I’ll have to see it played during an actual battle to make up my mind.
That’s all for now, you can expect to see a lot more BlazBlue here in the future! I think I’ll talk about the other two new themes in my next post. And for the record, you can call me Ristelle, that’s obviously not my real name but we might get to that later~
